Disclaimer

LEGAL SPARROW CLOUD PROVIDES FREE ONLINE TOOLS AND GENERAL INFORMATION. IT IS NOT A LAW FIRM, IT DOES NOT GIVE LEGAL, FINANCIAL, TAX, MEDICAL OR OTHER PROFESSIONAL ADVICE, AND NO LAWYER–CLIENT RELATIONSHIP IS CREATED BY USING IT. RESULTS CAN BE WRONG, INCOMPLETE OR OUT OF DATE. CHECK EVERYTHING AGAINST OFFICIAL SOURCES AND TAKE QUALIFIED ADVICE BEFORE YOU ACT, ESPECIALLY WHERE A DEADLINE, A COURT OR MONEY IS INVOLVED.

1. About This Disclaimer

1.1 This Disclaimer applies to legalsparrow.cloud (the “Site”), which is operated by Legal Sparrow (Private) Limited (“Legal Sparrow”, “we”, “us”), and to every calculator, template, generator, converter, editor, checklist and other tool on it (the “Tools”), to all results and files the Tools produce (“Output”) and to all blog posts and other content on the Site.

1.2 It forms part of, and must be read with, our Terms and Conditions (legalsparrow.cloud/terms-and-conditions) and Privacy Policy (legalsparrow.cloud/privacy-policy). Capitalised terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms and Conditions.

1.3 By using the Site you accept this Disclaimer. If you do not accept it, please do not use the Site.

2. No Legal Advice and No Lawyer–Client Relationship

2.1 Legal Sparrow is a technology provider. We are not a law firm, we do not practise law, we are not regulated as a provider of legal services, and we do not carry out reserved legal activities (within the meaning of the Legal Services Act 2007 (UK)) or act as an advocate (within the meaning of the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act 1973 (Pakistan)).

2.2 Nothing on the Site, and no Output, is legal advice. It is general information that does not take account of your facts, your documents or your circumstances. Laws and procedures change, differ between places and are applied differently by different courts and authorities.

2.3 Using the Site does not create a lawyer–client, solicitor–client, fiduciary or advisory relationship between you and Legal Sparrow, and nothing you enter into a Tool is a privileged or confidential communication with a lawyer.

2.4 If you have a legal problem, speak to a suitably qualified and regulated lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction before acting, and do so promptly where time limits may apply.

3. Calculators and Time-Limit Tools

3.1 Legal calculators (including limitation, stamp duty, court fee, interest, notice-period and date calculators) apply the rules, rates and assumptions stated in or behind each Tool. They may not reflect every exception, exclusion, extension, special period, recent amendment, notification or court decision, and they cannot reflect facts you have not entered or that we do not know.

3.2 Limitation. A limitation calculator, including the Pakistan statute of limitations calculator, gives an indicative result based on general rules. The date on which time starts to run, the period that applies, and whether it can be extended, suspended or excluded can turn on the particular cause of action, the forum, any disability, acknowledgement, fraud or concealment, time spent in other proceedings, special periods in other statutes, weekends, public holidays and court closures. Where a Tool covers one legal system, it does not apply to another. For example, in the United Kingdom the law of England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland differs.

3.3 Do not rely on a calculator alone to decide whether a claim is time-barred, whether to start or defend proceedings, or when to file or serve a document. If a limitation period or other deadline may be near, get legal advice immediately. An error, a missed date or a lost claim is your risk, not ours.

4. Templates, Forms and Generated Documents

4.1 Contract, NDA, agreement, compliance, court-filing and other templates and generated documents are general-purpose starting points. They are not drafted for your situation and may be incomplete, unsuitable, out of date or ineffective for your purpose or in your jurisdiction.

4.2 We do not warrant that any document is valid, enforceable or acceptable to a court, registry, authority, bank or counterparty. Formalities such as stamping, registration, attestation, witnessing, notarisation and the correct form of signature may be required. Have a qualified lawyer review any document before you rely on it.

4.3 Compliance checklists are prompts only. Completing one does not mean that you or anyone else complies with any law or regulation.

5. Finance, Tax, Health and Other Calculators

5.1 Finance, business, investment, tax, crypto, health and fitness, home and construction, math, unit and similar calculators give general, illustrative figures based on what you enter. They are not financial, investment, tax, accounting, medical, engineering or other professional advice and are not a recommendation to buy, sell or do anything. Markets, tax rules and health circumstances vary, and past or projected figures are not a guide to future results.

5.2 Do not use a health or fitness calculator to diagnose, treat or make decisions about a medical condition. Speak to a qualified health professional.

6. PDF, OCR, Conversion, Redaction, Security and Signing Tools

6.1 Conversion and OCR can alter layout, lose formatting, drop content or mis-read text. Always compare the result with your original and keep the original.

6.2 Redaction, metadata-removal and password tools are aids. We do not guarantee that information has been removed permanently, that a file cannot be recovered, or that a password or encryption setting is secure. Check redacted and cleaned files yourself before you share them. If you lose a password, we cannot recover it.

6.3 Signing tools add a visual or electronic signature to a file. They do not verify anyone’s identity, and we do not guarantee that a signed document is legally valid or admissible. Validity depends on the type of document, the applicable law and the parties’ agreement, and some documents need specific formalities.

6.4 You may use these Tools only with files you are entitled to handle. Using them to forge, falsify or tamper with documents, or to remove protection from files you have no right to open, is prohibited by our Terms and may be a criminal offence.

7. Accuracy, Currency and Changes in the Law

7.1 We try to keep the Tools and content accurate, but we do not promise that they are accurate, complete, current or free from error. Statements that Tools are “built around the relevant statute or standard legal practice”, or similar, describe our intention and are not a guarantee of correctness or completeness.

7.2 Statutes, rules, rates, thresholds, fees and forms change, sometimes without notice. Legal Materials on the Site are reference copies, not official versions. We have no duty to update the Site, and information may be out of date when you read it. Always check the current official source, such as the official gazette, a government legislation website, the court’s published rules or the relevant authority.

7.3 Where a Tool or page shows an “as at” or “last reviewed” date, the content is intended to reflect the position at that date only.

8. Jurisdictions

8.1 The Site is built mainly around selected aspects of the law and practice of Pakistan and the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom has three legal systems (England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland), and a Tool built for one must not be assumed to apply to another.

8.2 Other countries and regions are not covered unless a Tool says so. Do not use Output prepared for one jurisdiction in another, and do not assume the Site is suitable for use or lawful in every country from which it can be reached.

9. Educational Content, Blog and Exam Preparation

9.1 Blog posts, guides and other educational content, including exam-preparation material such as the Law GAT resources, are for general learning only. They are not legal advice and are not a complete statement of the law or of any syllabus.

9.2 We do not guarantee any exam result or admission outcome. We are not affiliated with any examining or testing body, university, court, bar council, regulator or government department, and nothing on the Site is endorsed by any of them, unless we expressly say so.

10. If You Are a Legal Professional

10.1 The Tools are aids to your work, not a substitute for your professional judgement, research or duties. You remain responsible for the accuracy of anything you file, serve, send or tell a client, for supervising anyone who uses Output on your behalf, and for complying with the rules of your regulator, bar council or court, including those on competence, confidentiality and candour.

10.2 Do not enter privileged, confidential or client-identifying material into a Tool unless you have decided that it is appropriate, as explained in the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

11. Advertisements, Third Parties and Our Other Services

11.1 The Site displays advertisements, including through Google AdSense. We do not control or verify which advertisements appear, and we do not endorse any advertiser, product, service, lawyer or law firm. An advertisement is not a recommendation. Check the credentials of any lawyer or service provider with the relevant regulator.

11.2 Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for third-party websites, their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices.

11.3 We may refer to legalsparrow.com, our separate AI legal research platform. That platform is a different service with its own terms and policies. Information on this Site about it is promotional and does not form a contract or promise. Use of the free Tools does not entitle you to any service on the paid platform.

12. No Warranties and Limits on Liability

12.1 To the fullest extent the law allows, the Site, the Tools, Output and all content are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranty of any kind. You use them at your own risk and must check Output yourself.

12.2 We are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site, the Tools or Output, including missed deadlines, time-barred claims, defective documents, lost or corrupted files, or decisions based on a calculation or template, except as set out in clauses 13 and 14 of our Terms and Conditions. Those clauses set out in full what we are and are not responsible for.

12.3 Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud, or affects any statutory rights you have as a consumer.

13. Errors, Corrections and Takedowns

13.1 If you think something on the Site is wrong or out of date, please tell us at contact@legalsparrow.com, giving the page or Tool, what you entered, and what you expected. We will review reports in good faith, but a report or correction does not create any warranty or duty to update.

13.2 To report content that you believe infringes your rights, write to legal@legalsparrow.com as described in clause 9.6 of our Terms and Conditions.

14. Changes and Contact

14.1 We may update this Disclaimer from time to time. The current version is published at legalsparrow.cloud/disclaimer with its Last Updated date, and continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Disclaimer.
